('Blue Cap'). This is the best steely-electric-blue form of this useful architectural plant, with many branched stems carrying thistle-like flowers which start out silver-blue, developing to bright steel blue. Highly recommended for drought prone areas, this plant loves full sun and good drainage, but will do well in most soils. Do not fertilise or the plants may become too soft and fall over. Makes a great cut flower, fresh or dried, and loved by bees and butterflies too. Flowering size 80-110cm x 40-50cm. 9cm pot. (Image courtesy of Jelitto, thank you).
