This is a sought-after wee plant - a very tough and hardy perennial but also quite slow growing, taking 2-3 years to become established. Reddish-pink nodding flowers appear in spring over clumps of ferny foliage, followed by the gorgeous silvery-pink seed heads which resemble puffs of smoke, hence its common name of prairie smoke. Full sun to light shade with good drainage. Height and width at maturity 15-30cm. 9cm pot.
