(Fringed bleeding heart). A beautiful, hardy perennial, completely dormant in winter. Finely cut, feathery foliage appears in early spring from small underground rhizomes, forming a bushy clump reminiscent of a maidenhair fern. Many upright stems bear plenty of nodding heart-shaped white flowers that dangle elegantly along the ends of the stems. Will flower for months in rich soils in part shade and can tolerate full shade in warmer areas. Height and spread 30-45cm but can be encouraged to spread out slowly to form bigger clumps in the right conditions. 1 litre pot.
