A slow-growing but creeping rhizamatous, plant which eventually forms matted clumps of stems carrying beautiful deep green leaves with red tints and bronzed midribs. The stems slowly elongate and are then topped with gorgeous heads of fiery coppery-orange-red flowers. Autumn highlights are fantastic. As with all Euphorbias be careful with the sap when weeding or pruning as it can irritate your skin. Unlike many in this family, this variety prefers a more woodland setting, with a part day of shade and compost-rich or moisture-retentive soil being ideal. These plants are just emerging from their winter dormancy now, so the perfect time to plant. Size at maturity 60-70cm high and wide. 1 litre pot.
