Salvia involucrata 'Bethellii'
(Roseleaf sage). This is an excellent feature plant for the back of the border, or amongst other shrubby species – looks great with contrasting colours like Salvia mexicana ‘Limelight’. Grey-green leaves, soft to touch, and spikes of large, tubular, dark pink flowers from late summer. Long flowering and does best in a semi-shaded spot. Can be used to good effect as a hedge, trimmed on the sides and left to flower along the top. 1-1.4m H x 1m W. 1 litre pot.
