The real thing - divisions from my plant shown in the photos. Ultimately a large, vigorous and very beautiful plant that will create a scene from late summer into autumn, and is a magnet for butterflies, bees and other pollinators. Winter dormant in cold areas, in spring it shoots away, bearing by late summer strong, multiple stems topped with dome shaped clusters of purplish-pink flowers. Prefers good, moisture-retentive soils and full sun to part shade. A strong grower that will form a good clump reasonably quickly given the right conditions. I planted mine at the bottom of a slope in clay mixed with topsoil...and it's fantastic. Mature flowering size 1.5-1.8m high x 70-80cm wide. 1 litre pot.
