An all-over larger plant than the straight species in all but actual height, with fabulous denser, purple-tinted foliage and stems. The airy panicles carry larger lavender-blue flowers with yellow stamens in summer. Winter dormant, hardy perennial. Prefers a partly shaded position or a cooler soil if in full sun, but otherwise it's not too fussy. Flowering height approx. 120-140cm, spread to around 60-70cm at maturity. 1 litre pot.
