Boltonia/Aster hybrid - lilac - 9cm pot
I'm not sure where this came from, and it does tend to spread itself about quite well, but the loosely-held flower spikes give it such a natural presence amongst other perennials that I really don't mind. The flowers are quite small, like a Boltonia, and are held on long arching stems, each one a gorgeous lilac colour with orange-yellow centre. Flowering height 80-100cm - it will creep and expand so probably ideal for banks, meadows and wilder areas of the garden. 9cm pot.
