(The Queen’s Sage) With a name like that, one can’t help but call this a most regal species! Forms a basal clump of grey-green leaves, frequently taking on maroon tones in hot weather. Bright violet-blue flowers are borne in summer on tall, stately, branched spikes. Hardy to the heat and cold, does best in a sunny position. Attractive to bees and butterflies.
