Sedum telephium subsp. maximum - 1 litre pot
(syn. Hylotelephium maximum, aka grand stonecrop, Photo courtesy of Jelitto, thank you). Fabulous foliage and flowers for the pollinators...this is less vibrant than the more commonly known Sedum 'Autumn Joy', but every bit as useful in that the colours will be easier to place in the garden. Forms clumps of grey-green fleshy foliage and then upright stems carrying heads of creamy-lemony-greenish-white flowers. Prefers full sun in cooler parts of the country but a half day of shade is ideal in warmer areas. Easy to grow and not fussy about soils, although richer soils will producer a softer plant with floppier stems. Flowering size 40-60cm high x 30-40cm wide. 1 litre pot.
