Salvia regla - 1 litre pot
Please note these will be sent cut back a bit to fit in carton. Rarely seen here in NZ but always remembered once you have! A fabulous and unusual plant which has a genuine deciduous nature - it shoots from the woody stems in spring so please don't prune it until the new growth shows, otherwise it will die. Other than the pruning warning, it is a very easy and undemanding plant to grow. An upright bushy shrub with an elegant arching habit and fairly small, slightly heart-shaped fresh green leaves. In autumn it is stunning - scarlet red flowers to around 3 inches long smother the plant. Heat and frost tolerant, pollinator magnet! Mature flowering size to around 1.2m high and 80-90cm wide. Best in full sun to light or part shade. 1 litre pot.
