A rarely available and sought-after species with fresh green leaves, soft to touch, and upright spikes carrying elegant clusters of the most gorgeous deep burgundy-purple flowers in spring and summer. This is a seed-grown strain so some variation in colour may occur, but all will be beautiful. Prefers average soil in full sun to part-day of shade (particularly in areas with very hot summers) and good drainage but fairly regular moisture. Ideal for rock gardens. Height with flowers 30-40cm, width 20-30cm. 9cm pot.
