A fabulous show-stopper for shady parts of the garden, this beauty will form clumps of very attractive fern-like foliage which has amazing bronze colours early in the season, changing to a dark glossy green as it ages. Tall feathery plumes of vibrantly elegant dark crimson-red flowers appear in summer. Prefers dappled shade such as a woodland area and moisture retentive soil, will also grow around ponds or in boggy soil. Hardy perennial, winter dormant in cold areas, size at maturity will be around 60cm flowering height, and around 40-50cm across. 9cm pot, gorgeous new foliage coming through now.
