A lovely plant which forms a (non-invasive) tuber under the ground, similar to a Dahlia but not as big. Clumps of slightly fuzzy green leaves, and spires of beautiful, large, sky blue flowers. Flowering occurs at any time from early summer through to autumn, and will repeat flower if dead-headed. Reasonably frost tender but will re-shoot from the tuber in spring once the soil warms up. 60-70cm x 30cm. Full sun. Good-sized tubers on these 2nd year plants. 1 litre pot.
