Phlomis samia - 9cm pot
This is the true form of this wonderful species which thrives in the summer heat, forming clumps of highly attractive large heart-shaped grey-green leaves which are softly hairy to touch. Strong, elegantly upright stems bear many whorls of flowers which are a unique colour - somewhere between lavender-pink and beige. A beautiful and unusual hardy perennial that will create a talking point in your garden. Flowering size when mature around 90-120cm tall x 70-90cm wide, but reasonably slow growing so allow 3 years to reach this size. Needs good drainage and full sun. 9cm pot.
