(Wild indigo). Lower growing than the usual species. Slow growing to reach maturity but a very long-lived and trouble-free plant that seems to cope admirably with a range of garden conditions - including frost, drought and neglect! Beautiful blue-green leaves and spikes of lilac-blue pea-like flowers which are held above the foliage. Enjoys a sunny or slightly shady spot in lighter soils for best flowering. Mature size 70-80cm high x 30-50cm wide. 1 litre pot
