Rarely available and a new one for me is this gorgeous woodland edge perennial which is also an edible used in Korean cuisine. Large slightly heart-shaped leaves (which can be used in various dishes) and beautiful upright stems carrying starry panicles of white flowers in late summer and autumn. An appealing plant and a useful one too, ideal for that moisture-retentive soil and dappled shade at the edge of the garden. Height to around 120cm in flower, spread to around 50cm. 9cm pot.
