Lachenalia 'Pearsonii' - 1.1 litre pot
One of my favourite varieties as it brings a fabulous splash of colour from July to August, right when winter feels like it will never end and a burst of sunshine is needed! It is a sterile hybrid which means that it won't set seed, allowing the flowering period to be longer than many species (it remains in flower for me for at least 6 weeks). Upright spikes of striking yellow and dark orange flowers tipped with dark red. Grow in a sunny spot with good drainage, a pot or tub is ideal. Bulbs will slowly multiply over time. Protect from slugs and snails. Height 20-30cm. These pots have 3 flowering size bulbs in each, all currently just poking their stunning spotted foliage up through the soil, so they are ready to go. 1.1 litre pot - they will flower happily in this pot or you can transplant them if needed.
