Salvia nemorosa 'Amethyst' - 9cm pot
I'm delighted to be able to bring you this superb beauty! These are cutting-grown plants so guaranteed to be the 'real deal', as 'Amethyst' does not come true from seed. Plants will form strong root systems over winter and then the foliage will emerge from ground level in early spring, followed by stunning, strongly upright spikes of dreamy amethyst-pink flowers in summer. A useful addition to the summer garden, creating excellent vertical interest, and just like the crystal form the colour changes with the light - sometimes it's more pink, others more purple. Heat and drought tolerant, hardy perennial, does best in full sun. Flowering size at maturity 70-90cm high, 40-60cm wide. 9cm pot. - again, these are cutting-grown herbaceous perennials, so the plants you receive may have a slightly straggly-looking 'upright' stem, but will shoot from the base (and yes you can cut the upright bit off at that point :) ).
